About Nukleas
The federal government awards $183 billion a year to small businesses building critical technology for national defense, but compliance and back-office overhead consume nearly half of every dollar awarded to those contractors. Despite the increasing need for the American Industrial Base to deliver more innovative, more effective, and more cost-efficient solutions, small businesses are drowning due to the ever increasing regulatory burden placed on them. Even worse, the vendor ecosystem for government contractors lacks effective and cost efficient back office solutions designed for defense innovators. Nukleas fills that gap by equipping defense contractors with purpose-built back office solutions through a managed service spanning accounting, cybersecurity, payroll, supply chain, and acquisitions.
The role
Nukleas is hiring a social and video marketing intern to build our voice in the defense-tech community this fall. You will script, shoot, and edit short-form video, run our presence on LinkedIn and X, and turn back-office infrastructure into content the American Industrial Base actually wants to watch. If you live in short-form video, track every platform shift, and want to build a marketing engine from nothing, this seat is yours.
You will work directly with the founders and the client delivery team. In a given week you might cut a founder interview into a launch reel, ship a week of posts, stand up a dashboard that tracks what is landing, and pitch the next channel we should own. You will own real work from day one, not busywork.
This is a remote or hybrid role for Fall 2026, roughly the first week of September through mid-December, at 20 hours per week. Do the work well and you can extend into Spring 2027.
What you'll do
- Script, shoot, and edit short-form video and graphics for LinkedIn, X, and YouTube. Turn founder stories, product demos, and customer wins into content people stop scrolling to watch.
- Own our analytics. Build automated reporting for reach, engagement, and share of voice, and turn the raw numbers into a clean dashboard the founders read every week.
- Stay ahead of every algorithm change and new format. Bring us platform-specific plays, test them, and win attention in a market that usually ignores back-office software.
- Put AI to work across the content pipeline. Use tools like Claude to draft, repurpose, and route content faster, and help us run a marketing engine that stays lean.
Who you are
- You are an undergraduate, sophomore through senior, studying marketing, communications, film, digital media, or a field close to it.
- You edit short-form video without thinking about it. CapCut, Premiere, or whatever ships the cut, and you already run social channels for yourself or someone else.
- You think in data and automation. You have set up tracking, lived inside platform analytics, and reached for AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Zapier to skip the busywork.
- You want a hard, real mission. Defense, government contracting, and company building pull you more than the next consumer app.
- You run your own schedule. You can own 20 hours a week without anyone checking your work.
What you'll accomplish
- A real portfolio. Published video, graphics, and campaigns for a defense-tech brand with a sharp point of view.
- Marketing infrastructure. An automated dashboard the founders use to read what our brand is doing, built by you.
- A channel of your own. The room to take one experiment or platform from idea to launch and own the result.
